I'm Syd Pierre. Currently, I work as a Desk Editor at NBC Sports. ​

Previously, I worked as an editorial researcher for NBC Sports during the 2024 Olympics. I also wrote, edited, designed and fact-checked its daily newsletter, The Daily Paralympian, during the Paralympics.
As a 2024 graduate of Ithaca College, I served as the Editor in Chief for The Ithacan, the award-winning, student-run newspaper.

Originally from Minnesota, I have been passionate about writing from a young age and am a lifelong storyteller & journalist. I was a Park Scholar Recipient at Ithaca College, which provided a full merit based, four year scholarship for students passionate about media and community service.

I'm interested and invested in gender equity, especially for female athletes, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. When I'm not writing articles, I like spending time outdoors, cooking and running.
